Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MyRecipe ("the App"), developed and operated by Henrik Wirak Onsrud ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

MyRecipe is a recipe management application that allows you to save, organize, and manage recipes from various sources. The App offers both free and premium features through in-app subscriptions.

3. Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use MyRecipe. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission before using the App.

4. User Accounts

Anonymous use: You can use the App without creating a personal account. An anonymous identifier is created automatically for technical purposes. Your recipes are stored locally on your device.

Sign in with Apple: If you choose to sign in with Apple for cloud sync and backup, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

MyRecipe offers premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions (monthly and annual plans).

Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Cancellation: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to premium features until the period ends.

Refunds: All purchases are handled through Apple. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support at reportaproblem.apple.com.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all recipes and content you create in the App. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you import.

When importing recipes from external sources (websites, social media), you should respect the original creator's copyright and terms of use. MyRecipe is a tool for personal recipe organization — not for republishing or redistributing others' content.

7. AI-Generated Content

MyRecipe uses artificial intelligence to parse, generate, and enhance recipes. AI-generated content, including recipes, nutritional estimates, and ingredient lists, is provided for convenience and may not always be accurate.

Important: Nutritional information is estimated by AI and should not be relied upon for medical, dietary, or allergy-related decisions. Always verify ingredients if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions. We are not liable for any harm resulting from inaccurate AI-generated content.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App
  • Upload malicious content or attempt to disrupt the service
  • Use automated tools to abuse the import or AI features
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that imported recipes will be complete or accurate. Recipe import depends on the structure of external websites and social media platforms, which may change without notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, damages from inaccurate recipes, nutritional information, or data loss.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Norway.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be notified through the App or on this page.
